Go And Fetch It

You are a very lucky person if there many people around you who mean well for you and would advise you purely having YOUR interest at heart.

There are, of course, more people around you who mean well for you and themselves. Meaning, they give you advice that is firstly good for them and a little bit good for you.

Does your boss give you career advice based on your interest only or also consider his situation?  My own wife (we are happily married for 26years+) tells me her mother told her not to go out with an ‘Ang Moh’(Caucasian) as  she may follow him back to his home country one day. Whose interest did have priority here?

Having all this in mind, never forget to look into the mirror and look at the face that you see in there. That is the one getting things done for you. I you want to get something, achieve something. Go, fetch it yourself. If you have a true mentor, then you are in the minority, and be very, very grateful for this.
