Saint of Sinner

You may have read a newspaper article published in the Singapore Straits Time on the 11.07.12.

Headline: 25% of Wall St execs see dishonesty as a key to success.

I guess most people would react like me and think that this is outrageous.

When reading on, the article also mentioned, amongst other things, that 16% of respondents to a survey would commit insider trading if they could get away with it. (Explanation – Insider trading means obtaining privileged knowledge and based on that knowledge make a profit by buying or selling shares. Insider trading is illegal)

Using confidential knowledge for a personal gain? Don’t many of us have sometimes naughty thoughts like that and are tempted by it? I guess many of us have. It seems quite normal that sometimes we have unsavoury thoughts. This reminds me about the old saying.

What is the difference between a saint and a sinner? Answer: Both have a ‘little devil’ inside. The saint is just better in managing it.
